EMPOWER YOUR CAREER WITH DIGITAL CONSTRUCTION SKILLS

Master BIM with BIMAGE Academy

Transform the way you design and build with Building Information Modeling (BIM). Learn industry-leading tools and workflows that drive smarter, faster, and more efficient construction projects.

Whats is BIM?

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an intelligent, 3D model-based process that provides professionals in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) with the insight and tools to plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure more efficiently.

Unlike traditional 2D drawings, BIM integrates geometry, data, and collaboration across all project stages — from concept design to facility management. It allows teams to visualize projects digitally before construction begins, improving accuracy, coordination, and cost efficiency.

With BIM, every element in a model contains real-world information — materials, dimensions, performance data, and lifecycle details — making it a powerful tool for smart design, sustainable construction, and effective project management.

What are the advantages of BIM?

Improved Collaboration and Communication

BIM allows architects, engineers, and contractors to work on the same 3D model in real time — reducing misunderstandings and improving coordination across teams.

Greater Accuracy and Fewer Errors

BIM identifies design clashes or conflicts (e.g., structural vs. mechanical) early in the process, minimizing costly reword and construction delays.

Better Project Management

BIM centralizes all project information, making it easier to track progress, manage changes, and ensure accountability throughout the construction lifecycle.

Enhanced Visualization

With detailed 3D models, stakeholders can see exactly how a project will look before construction begins, enabling better design decisions and clients persentations.

Regulatory Compliance

BIM simplifies adherence to Goverment and industry standrands, including e-submissions and digital approvals required by CIDB Malaysia.

Time and Cost Savings

BIM Accurate data and automated workflow streamline project planning, material estimation, and scheduling. Saving both time and money.

Implication of BIM by the Government

National BIM e-Submission Initiative (NBeS)

The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) of Malaysia has launched the National BIM e-Submission Initiative (NBeS) to modernise how building plans are submitted and approved by local authorities.

BIM Requirement for Projects worth 10M & Above

In September 2024, Malaysia’s Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan announced that all construction projects (both public and private sector) valued at RM 10 million and above are now required to adopt Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems.

Set Up BIM Labs in Every State in Malaysia

The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia is establishing Building Information Modelling (BIM) Laboratories in every state to support the nationwide adoption of digital construction technology.

With up-to-date BIM labs across the country, the goal is to make digital construction tools more accessible, reduce barriers to adoption, and strengthen Malaysia’s construction industry’s readiness for Construction 4.0 and beyond.

13MP & BIM in Malaysia

Under the 13th Malaysia Plan (2026-2030), the government has committed to emphasising modern construction technologies such as BIM and the Industrialised Building System (IBS) in development and housing projects.

One major target is building one million affordable homes over ten years, with BIM and IBS being pushed to improve efficiency, cost control, waste reduction, and quality.

Discover CAD2BIM: Bridging the Gap

CAD2BIM is a specialised training program at BIMAGE Academy that helps transition professionals from traditional 2D CAD drafting into modern Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows. It covers foundational skills in AutoCAD and other CAD tools, then builds on that by teaching how to develop and manage BIM models using software like Revit and Navisworks.

At BIMAGE Academy, we bridge the gap between traditional CAD and modern BIM workflows through our CAD2BIM program. Guided by Autodesk-certified trainers, participants gain hands-on experience transitioning from 2D drafting to intelligent 3D modeling — empowering professionals to adapt, collaborate, and thrive in today’s digital construction industry.

Let’s together explore the past events we have over the years.

All training programs offered by BIMAGE Academy are HRD Corp (HRDF) claimable, ensuring that employers can fully utilize their Human Resource Development Fund to upskill their workforce. T&C applies.
